Liver Transplant Observations
In addition to the one year fellowship program, UCLA also offers an observation-only program.
This is intended for fully trained practicing anesthesiologists who would like to gain additional insights to liver transplant anesthesia. A minimum commitment of 1 week is required, with a maximum of 4 weeks permitted. We recommend 2 weeks of observation to maximize your experience with the breadth of cases and to interact with our 5 liver transplant anesthesiologists.
To request observation time, please provide the necessary documents listed below. Observations are granted on a case-by-case basis.
The following items are required for us to process your request:
- Email Sally Alvarez for the request form and complete it.
- Copy of current state medical license
- Copy of photo identification card (passport or driver license)
- Letter of introduction from your department chair indicating purpose of your visit
- Dates for observation
Please fax the above documents to Sally Alvarez at (310) 794-2141.
