Victor Xia, M.D.

Assistant Clinical Professor

Research Interests:
perioperative hemodynamic, metabolic, coagulation and fibrinolytic changes during liver transplantation, the relationship between intraoperative changes and short-term outcome or postoperative complications in general anesthesia, cardiovascular or neurological monitoring during general anesthesia, and the anesthesia perioperative database

Dr. Xia received his M.D. at the Tongji Medical University, Wuhan, China. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard Medical School and UCSF, where he worked on transplantation and cancer immunology. He received his resident training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Since joining the clinical faculty at UCLA, his clinical responsibility includes both general anesthesia and liver transplantation anesthesia. He is also actively involved in clinical anesthesia research.
